Meet Bel
Brisbane Naturopath | Restoring Balance Through Whole-Person Care
I’m a clinical naturopath with a special interest in brain health. This passion has led me to further my studies, and I’m currently completing a Master’s in Applied Neuroscience. I’ve always been fascinated by how our brains shape the way we think, feel, and engage with the world, and how these interactions are deeply connected to our physical and mental health.
I help people understand the gut–brain connection and its impact on every system in the body. When it’s out of balance, it can manifest as a wide range of symptoms, including digestive issues, disrupted sleep, low energy, mood changes, hormone imbalances, skin concerns, immune challenges, inflammation, pain, cognitive difficulties, metabolic changes, cardiovascular issues, and more.
I offer in-person naturopathy consults in New Farm, Brisbane, and online consults Australia-wide.
Whole-person care means looking beyond symptoms to understand what’s really driving them

I offer in-person naturopathy consults at Kula Health in New Farm and online consults Australia-wide.
In my one-on-one naturopathy consultations, I take a personalised approach to support your unique health needs. Each session is tailored to you, combining evidence-informed naturopathic care with neuroscience-informed strategies.
We’ll explore your health history, current concerns, and goals to create a treatment plan that fits your life and supports your long-term wellbeing. This may involve using food as medicine, individualised dietary and lifestyle guidance, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, flower essences, and tools to support your health through all phases of life.
Thinking Ahead: A Preventive Approach
Optimising your health is about more than managing symptoms; it’s about supporting your body to function well throughout life. I take a preventative approach, helping clients implement personalised, evidence-informed strategies that support hormonal changes, healthy ageing, cellular function, and long-term vitality. I’m always thinking ahead, considering what your mind and body may need now to maintain balance, nurture resilience, and feel supported into the future.

If you’re not located in Brisbane or prefer the flexibility of accessing support from home, I offer online naturopathy consults via telehealth. These sessions provide the same personalised, in-depth care as in-person consults and are tailored to meet your specific needs and goals. Telehealth makes naturopathic care accessible, convenient, and just as connected. All you need is a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a little time carved out just for you.

To support a deeper understanding of your health, I offer a range of functional testing options designed to uncover underlying imbalances and provide clarity on what your body truly needs.
Depending on your individual presentation, testing may include:
Gut microbiome analysis – using shotgun metagenomic sequencing (via cobiome) to assess microbial diversity, abundance, and key functional markers such as inflammatory potential, SCFA production, gut barrier integrity, and digestive capacity
Vaginal microbiome testing
Comprehensive thyroid panels
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)
Hormone profiling (including DUTCH testing)
Organic Acid Testing (OAT)
Methylation assessments
Genetic analysis
Neurotransmitter profiling
Immune and allergy testing
Nutritional and biochemical assessments
These tests provide valuable insights into nutrient status, hormonal rhythms, neurotransmitter balance, immune function, metabolic activity, and microbiome health, helping to guide a more precise and personalised treatment plan.
Functional testing can be especially helpful when symptoms are persistent, vague, or not responding to standard approaches, offering the information needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Frequently asked questions
-
During your consult, I’ll ask detailed questions about various body systems, even those that might not seem directly related to your main concerns. This is because symptoms often appear in one area but stem from another. For example, gut imbalances can affect brain function, fatigue may be linked to hormonal or adrenal imbalances, joint pain can be a sign of underlying inflammation, and skin issues can originate from gut or hormonal dysfunction. Everything in the body is interconnected, so understanding the root cause is key to supporting meaningful and lasting change. After gathering this information, I’ll create a personalised, holistic treatment plan tailored to your needs.
-
How long is an initial consultation?
An initial consultation runs for approximately 60 minutes. This allows time to explore your health history, current concerns, and what you’d like to achieve with treatment.
What happens in a follow-up consultation?
Return consultations typically run for 30 minutes. These sessions focus on reviewing your progress, making any necessary treatment adjustments, and providing ongoing support.

Herbal medicines are plant-based remedies used to support the body’s natural healing processes. They can come in many forms, such as liquid extracts, teas, capsules, or powders, and are made from specific parts of a plant, like the leaves, roots, flowers, or bark.
When prescribed by a qualified naturopath, herbal medicines are tailored to your individual needs and can be used to address a wide range of health concerns, including stress and sleep issues, hormonal imbalances, inflammation, pain, cardiovascular support, digestive problems, immune support, and more. These remedies are evidence-based, traditionally used, and can work beautifully alongside other treatments and medications to support your overall wellbeing.

Neuroscience is the scientific study of the brain and nervous system, including how they influence thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and bodily functions. It looks at how neurons (brain cells) communicate, how brain networks are organised, and how the nervous system interacts with the rest of the body to impact overall health and wellbeing.
